Nomadica compass

03 / COMMUNITY

One fire, many hands.

Software lasts when people can understand it. We split systems at honest boundaries and make ownership visible, so delivery does not depend on one heroic engineer.

Software is carried by people, not diagrams. When boundaries are vague, ownership is hidden, or knowledge lives in one person's head, delivery gets slower and risk gets personal.

The same shape for software and people

We build in small, self-reliant parts: services that own their data, can be understood in a reasonable amount of time, and can be replaced without convening a committee. Contracts between parts are made explicit, so teams can change one area without guessing what they just broke somewhere else.

Teams get the same treatment. We draw boundaries around things that change together and shape teams like the systems they own. Conway's Law only works against you when you pretend it isn't there.

Knowledge has to move

No hoarded context, and no single person whose vacation becomes an incident. Handovers, pairing and written decisions are part of delivery, not an afterthought.

WHAT WE DELIVER

Teams & Delivery

Boundary design

Modules and services drawn around things that change together, with contracts that make integration clear.

Team topology

Teams shaped like the systems they own, so ownership is obvious and cross-team meetings become rare.

Knowledge flow

Pairing, handovers and written decisions built into delivery, so context stops living in one head.

SIGNS YOU NEED THIS

  1. 01Two services can't change without a meeting between four teams.
  2. 02One engineer's vacation is a production risk.
  3. 03The new hire spends their first month asking who owns what.
SEE THIS STEP IN THE JOURNEY

Make ownership easier to see.

We'll listen first, map the problem, and show you the smallest useful next step.
